Dedare have a lifespan noticeably longer than typical humans, though as time progresses, their electromagnetic fields slowly weaken, gradually rendering them more helpless during later phases of their life. At a certain point, the field weakens entirely, leading to the end of a Dedare's life. The typical lifespan of Dedare ranges from roughly 150 to 200 Earth years.
A Dedare's main body consists of a crystalline orb with static patterns visible inside. Generally, this orb appears to be a black or grey color, and has a white waveform around its equator that shifts when the Dedare speaks. The rest of their body is incorporeal, consisting of an electromagnetic field that reaches up to roughly three meters away, allowing them to manipulate any objects within this radius. On their own, a Dedare can manipulate objects with a mass of up to roughly 100 kilograms, though anything heavier will require further assistance. Visually, Dedare have little distinction from one another, and as a result of this, Dedare often assert their individuality by decorating themselves with clothing.

The crystalline core of a Dedare is fairly fragile, and can often be broken by blunt force. If the core is to be completely broken, this completely kills the Dedare, though they can endure some scratches. Additionally, other electromagnetic fields can interfere with a Dedare's own.

Dedare (singular Dedare, plural Dedare) are a Complinoid that are very common around Complanet. They have connections to the Volt, Sound, Cyber, Nuclear, and Warp elements.

Biology[]

A Dedare's body is primarily centralized by a crystalline orb, that averages at a diameter of roughly 0.4 meters, though some variation in size has been observed. However, they are surrounded by an electromagnetic field capable of manipulating items up to three meters away, and are capable of lifting roughly 100kg at any given moment. The core usually hovers roughly 1.5 meters above the ground.

Dedare reproduce asexually and communicate with each other through electromagnetic waves. Dedare are relative extremophiles, able to endure harsh conditions, though their bodies are relatively fragile. Very little physical distinction exists between different specimens, though they may individualize themselves through different clothing items.

The crystalline core of a Dedare is fairly fragile, and can often be broken by blunt force. If the core is to be completely broken, this completely kills the Dedare, though they can endure some scratches. Additionally, other electromagnetic fields can interfere with a Dedare's own.

History[]

Dedare appear to have evolved most recently of the five Complinoids, with the first traces of their appearance being only a few thousand years ago. However, they have established their own society quickly, on a timescale much faster than the other Complinoids. This is often attributed to their ability to manipulate objects with relative ease, and their ability to broadcast thougts to other members of their species via electromagnetic waves. Dedare societies appear to have first arisen in areas of Nagthoto and slowly spread to other areas of Colloidus, and eventually Dornae, Bertyllia, and the rest of Complanet. As relative extremophiles, Dedare seem to fare well in a variety of different environments and climates, something that is additionally attributed to their success as a species.

Culture[]

While Dedare are often perceived as being cold, emotionless, almost robotic entities, these assessments couldn't be further from the truth. While from a surface level there is little distinguishing Dedare, their culture places a heavy emphasis on individuality, with Dedare commonly pursuing their personal interests and actively trying to distinguish themselves from a crowd. Dedare commonly dress in unusual and extravagant fashion, and oftentimes have equally extravagant personalities to match. It is fairly common for Dedare to expect radically different personalities from their peers, and thus rarely do Dedare concern themselves much with differences. Generally, the concepts of self and identity are important topics of Dedare philosophy.

Habitat[]

As a result of their intelligence and survivability, Dedare can be found everywhere on Complanet in some number. Dedare are believed to have originated in Colloidus, though their low-maintenance lifestyles effectively allow them to survive comfortably in any habitat. Dedare are especially common in Colloidus and Dornae, and can be found in smaller numbers elsewhere, with increased populations in urbanized countries such as Iiines and Xiyule.

Growth[]

Dedare

Dedare does not grow.

Origins[]

Some insights on Dedare's origins.

Design[]

Dedare's design was proposed by CompliensCreator00 as a "somewhat static-themed Complinoid," and henceforth elaborated on by Nove NuVonde. The two agreed on a simple spherical design that individualizes itself through decorations.

Name[]

Dedare is corrupted from the term "dead air," meant to describe periods of silence in audio or video transmissions.
