Branefriez is a conic ice Complien of the Frost and Esper elements. It does not grow.
Appearance[]
They look like an icicle with a glass dome on top containing a brain, two eyeballs, and water. A red and white straw sticks out of the dome, and two gloves of ice hover to the sides of the body.
Information[]
Branefriezes live on Bertyl's oceans of loose, watery slush. They hover just above the surface and use their straw to drink slush and detritus into their glass dome, where their brain absorbs nutrients from the slush and pours indigestible material back out of the straw.
Branefriezes are meek and flee from any sign of danger. They ignore other Branefriezes and only seek each other out in mating season. They reproduce by swishing their head water back and forth between two individuals through their straws, allowing gametes to be exchanged. A lump later forms on both Branefriezes' brains, which detaches and falls out of the straw and onto the ground, where it psychically gathers ice to make a new body.
They are kept intact purely through raw psychic force. Should a Branefriez's telekinesis be nullified somehow, it will fall apart and be rendered a disembodied brain. A Branefriez's brain can survive only minutes without being immersed in water.
They are particularly attracted to the mature cloves of thaubulbs. Branefriezes are thaubulbs' primary seed dispersal vector.
